Malamas Tsagkaridis

Dr. Malamas Tsagkaridis is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin, USA. His current research focuses on plasma radiation/kinetics and plasma flow modeling, particularly within the Predictive Science Academic Alliance Program (PSAAP III) under the supervision of Dr. Robert D. Moser and Dr. Todd Oliver. He is dedicated to the development of high-fidelity simulations of inductively coupled plasma (ICP) torches and capacitively coupled glow discharges.

Malamas holds a BSc and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2018) and obtained his Ph.D. from Imperial College London, UK, in 2022. His doctoral research at Imperial College London was concerned with the development of models for nanoparticle synthesis in laminar and turbulent flames via population balance equation and PDF-stochastic field method.
