Shane McQuarrie

I was born and raised in Utah Valley, close to Brigham Young University (BYU). From 2010–2016, I attended BYU for a BS in applied and computational mathematics with minors in computer science and music, with a break from 2011–2013 for church missionary service in Chicago. I continued at BYU for a MS in mathematics, completing a summer internship in Albuquerque NM at Sandia National Lab in 2017. In 2018, I arrived at the Oden Institute for the CSEM Ph.D. program. My wife and I were married in 2015 and we now have two energetic young boys. Our family enjoys ice cream, frisbee, and Agatha Christie novels.
