Arthur Peters has an eclectic academic carrier beginning with a degree in Entertainment Technology (technical theater). Following this, he worked as a programmer for a media artist for several years before earning a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus in the implementation of functional logic programming languages from Portland State University. He then came to the University of Texas at Austin for a PhD with work including concurrent programming language design and implementation, and accelerator virtualization.
Arthur is part of the design and implementation team for the specialized programming systems our team will use to implement simulations. His interests are programmability and providing a consistent and principled programming environment.
